ASA Pulls Casino Ads
Last September the government of the United Kingdom liberalized the gambling advertising since then extensive gambling advertising has become a new activity there. The British Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) was founded to discuss complaints relating to doubtful ads. At the present online casinos can make ads shown on main stations, so a growing amount of complaints are flowing the ASA and its task now is to set the fundamental guidelines for potential gambling cases.
Recently 2 online casinos, Paddy Power and Intercasino got some bad news – these two gambling companies are made to pull their advertisements after the ASA stated that the ads of the above mentioned companies infringed existing regulations concerning online gambling advertising. The ASA examined the adverts responding to a lot of complaints that were connected with the internet-based casinos gambling market.
Concerning the advertisements of Paddy Power, the casinos gambling and betting company, they were said to suggest sexual ability as a gambling result that is completely forbidden. Though Paddy Power says that the adverts are being misinterpreted, the ASA has ordered the internet gambling company to pull these advertisements totally. In response to the ads the ASA said that they considered the ads were irresponsible.
The ads of Intercasino were pulled for the reason that their cartoon dwarves that were depicted in their ad were thought to target juvenile players. As in case with Paddy Power, the ASA has ordered the online casinos gambling company to stop using these advertisements.
