Gambling with Las Vegas style casinos
There are many forms of gambling, both online and offline, but the most popular is by far the Las Vegas style casino gambling and here we have a couple of online casinos offering this way to gamble. What is Las Vegas style of gambling - at the casino you will find the complete package of casino gambling games, including all table games, such as blackjack and roulette, various video poker machines, an abundance of slots and quite a few specialty games, such as keno. And while some online casinos focus on just one part of the Vegas style online gambling, below you will see two casinos which offer the complete package. You can play at either online casino without any residence restrictions, U.S. players are welcomed at both casinos, and they are listed at our best online casinos list offering safe, secure and honest gambling online.
Vegas Casino Online - arguably our most popular online casino and currently listed as the best online casino on the Internet. Vegas Casino Online is all about taking care of its customers, which as mentioned earlier, could be from the USA, Canada or any other country from any part of the world. No matter from where you sign up with this online casino, new players will get up to $500 in bonus (or the currency equivalent) or 125% on the first deposit made with the casino site. Las Vegas USA Casino - of course, since the Vegas Casino Online is the most popular among our readers, the chances are you already have an account there. And while you may be enjoying the weekly bonuses, it’s a fact that the biggest bonus at the online casinos is usually the first one. So without sacrificing quality, players could easily open a new account at the Las Vegas USA casino and get 125% bonus the first time they fund their player accounts. We have chosen to bring attention to Las Vegas USA not because it supplements the Vegas Casino Online, but because it compliments it. Again, at this RTG-based online casino you will find all games you could at a Las Vegas casino gambling hall - slots, blackjack, video poker, keno, etc. And as the name implies, this online casino welcomes USA players with open arms. Naturally the online casino is among the best in the industry (otherwise it would not have been listed with us) with guaranteed payouts of your winnings and plenty of depositing methods to choose from.
Of course, we highly recommend the Vegas Casino Online as the top choice for gamblers all over the world. It’s currently voted as our best online casino by both staff and players, which speaks volumes, considering we have only the cream of the crop listed with us. Whether you are high-stakes blackjack player or a penny-slots fan, the online casinos above exhibit a true Las Vegas style of gambling and got all your bases covered. Make sure you take advantage of the great promotions ran by both online casinos and increase your bankroll more than two-fold before you even begin playing at the casino.

Online gambling is a personal choice
Las Vegas Sun reporter Liz Benston’s story Monday on the Justice Department’s seizure of millions of dollars from bank accounts used to process online poker transactions contained a quote that caught my attention.
The quote was from an executive with a company that hosts free and subscription-only poker tournaments online. The executive said he believes federal regulators are opposed to Internet gambling because they believe gambling at home presents a bigger risk to Americans’ homes and life savings than gambling at casinos.
This could be a valid concern in cases where the government is paying people’s wages and subsidizing their housing.
But it should not be a blanket concern. I have a job and pay my own way. I am a responsible low-limit Texas hold ’em player with a fund set aside specifically for gaming.
I study the game and am a winning player. If a player is irresponsible and loses his house, why should I be banned from online play? Let that player suffer the consequences accordingly. That’s the price of irresponsible gambling in casinos or online.
It appears we have yet another case of government trying to get involved in the private affairs of the individual. I believe the real reason the feds are on a mission is that they want a bite of the action, the millions garnered by poker sites every year. Furthermore, they have the audacity to want to save my home and savings when their own financial affairs are in deep trouble. They need to clean their own house before trying to clean mine, which but for the dishes, is in no need of cleaning anyway.

The Hangover is a Gambling Movie for the Best Pleasure
It’s not a movie for everybody, but I dare say it’s a movie for most people who have a good sense of humor. And judging by its opening weekend box office numbers ($45 million) and continued success in theatres, I dare say the seemingly silly and inconsequential flick, The Hangover, has become a major box office hit and one of the funniest movies of all time.
Okay, we’ll just have to wait and see how that last prediction pans out; but, the fact remains that The Hangover is jaw-dropping funning with just enough heart to make it a classic. Oh, and did I mention it is set in Las Vegas and has a couple of casino scenes? Good enough to be classified as a gambling movie here at Online Casino Suite, The Hangover is a great treat for anyone who has been to Las Vegas before, and definitely for anyone who is frequenting the Strip right now!
One of the taglines for the movie is “Some guys just can’t handle Vegas”. But in actuality, the guys in this film (portrayed by Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Justin Bartha and the hilarious Zach Galifianakis) just can’t handle a lot of things.
When I sat down in the theatre to watch The Hangover, I have to admit I was a little worried about it being another Old School (the same director, Todd Phillips, did both films), complete with frat-style partying, drinking and grown men acting half their age. But fitting to the title, The Hangover is pretty much about a hangover. And not just any hangover - we’re talking about the hangover. This movie - written by Jon Lucas and Scott Moore - is also about taking responsibility, staying true to the one you love and even finding love.
The other great thing about this film is the element of mystery presented as our protagonists (along with the viewers) try to figure out what happened the night before. The opening of the film brings the odd bunch to Las Vegas to celebrate the bachelor party of Doug Billings (played by Bartha), who will be getting married in just two days. Indeed, having a bachelor party just two days before the big event is not a good idea…at all. Cut to the next morning, and as you might expect, the aftermath is pretty ugly. However, nobody could predict just how bad it gets in The Hangover.
Since I personally love to watch movies without much prior knowledge of what takes place, I’ll leave it at that. Let me just say that there are some great scenes shot in the Caesar’s Palace Casino and hotel. There is also a hilarious nod to the movie Rain Man, when Tom Cruise and Dustin Hoffman hit up the casino to score it big at the blackjack table. While that scene alone was worth the movie ticket, there is so much more The Hangover has to offer.

Seduce Aussie Classification Board Dont Want Sexy Poker
Australia’s notoriously strict Office of Film and Literature Classification Board has denied yet another new game title.
Gameloft’s racy Sexy Poker game is slated for release on the Wii platform later this year, but poker fans may never legally see a copy of the game down under. The concept of the game is nothing new; a stripping-incentive format has been used in fun-only arcade and poker games for years. So what’s the hold up?
The OFLC’s highest rating is MA15+, and the Board cites a longstanding anti-nudity rule from the official Guidelines for the Classification of Films and Computer Games as the basis for the ban. This rule prohibits the use of reward-based nudity in approved games—a concept that’s central to Sexy Poker.
As anyone that has played strip poker knows, clothes are the only betting currency. The same is true in Sexy Poker where players are pitted against six increasingly less clothed female opponents over several rounds of draw poker.
Because “nudity as an incentive” is Sexy Poker’s main selling point, it seems unlikely that Gameloft will be able to alter the game enough to meet the OFLC’s MA15+ standards. Fortunately for gamers eager to try the skin-to-win title, the game has already received the thumbs up for distribution in parts of Europe, and North America’s classification board is expected to follow suit.

BetStopper software excellent in blocking underage online gamblers
The Chronicle Herald newspaper in the Nova Scotia province of Canada reports that new software effective in blocking underage gambling has been developed by an American company commissioned by the Nova Scotia Gaming Corporation.
Marie Mullally, the president and CEO of the NSGC, says that parents can obtain the software for free and install it on home computers, and that it is effective in blocking access to gambling websites. The software is said to be the first of its kind in the world.
Mullally told the newspaper that a study commissioned by the corporation in 2006 found the underaged were gambling online three times as often as adults. Sixty percent of the youthful gamblers were boys. In the gaming corporation’s three-year-old study, 15 percent of 18-year-olds and 19 percent of youths aged 15 to 17 admitted to online gambling.
After the study, the corporation hired an American company to develop software that would block underage access to gambling websites.
“There was nothing out there, so we invented this,” she said.
The product, branded BetStopper, will be launched this weekend and handed out at the We Love Our Children Expo at Exhibition Park in Halifax. The software has already been thoroughly test driven by 250 Nova Scotia families, who have praised its effectiveness.
Mullally says the program looks for gaming URLs and gaming language within websites.
“It has a heightened or enhanced level of intelligence that allows it to have a 98 percent rate of blocking sites,” she said.
BetStopper is password-protected and parents will receive an email notification immediately if the program is turned off.
While adults could also use the software to prevent other adults from accessing gaming sites, Mullally said it’s principally intended for parental use.
She said that her company’s research suggests that underage punters are involved in all kinds of gambling online, including playing poker and betting on sports.
“Sports betting is absolutely huge, particularly around 14 to 17-year-old males,” she said.
Ken Hanna, founder of Safe Bet Society, which promotes responsible gambling, said anything parents can do to discourage the underaged from wagering online is a welcome tool.
“It’s a step in the right direction,” said Hanna. “I think it’s excellent.”
Nova Scotia Gaming plans to distribute BetStopper at various public events around the province throughout the summer.

iGaming Business Affiliate Magazine Successfully Launches
If you are involved in the online gambling industry in a professional capacity, there is a new magazine you need to know about. Heck, even if you’re not involved professionally, but have a strong passion for online gambling - perhaps publishing a gambling related blog - this is a magazine well worth reading. It’s called iGaming Business Affiliate Magazine, and is already getting rave reviews.
Formerly known as CAP Magazine, iGaming Business Affiliate is a newly envisioned publication that pledges to unite the entire online gaming affiliate sector into one cohesive voice. Furthermore, leading up to the launch of the magazine’s inaugural April/May 2009 issue, the formation of the online gambling industry’s largest affiliate body, Gambling Affiliate Programs, took place.
Both the magazine and GAP have been launched to help solidify new principles and standards in affiliate marketing and bring a unified voice to the industry as a whole. In response to growing concerns that the affiliate component of the online gambling industry was becoming dogged by partial alliances and protectionism, Editor in Chief of iGaming Business Affiliate, Michael Caselli, said in his inaugural editor’s letter that the magazine will continue to bring outstanding content from senior industry professionals “regardless of their trade organization memberships or alliances”.
In other words, iGaming Business Affiliate strives to be an open and unbiased forum for gaming affiliates and affiliate managers. Indeed, with over sixty gambling affiliate programs signed up with GAP thus far, things are heading in the right direction. By the way, in case you’re wondering, the GAP referred to here is not GamblingAffiliatePrograms.org, but rather GamblingAffiliatePrograms.com - set to launch later this year.
As for iGaming Business Affiliate, let’s just say it’s packed with some great articles covering everything from using WordPress to start an online gambling blog to supplementing online casino revenue with bingo players. There’s affiliate manager interviews, affiliate interviews, SEO tips, and just about everything else you could think of aimed at fostering monetization and success in the online gambling affiliate marketing sector. Online gambling e-cash processor Neovia plc (Neteller) has confirmed the departure date for CEO Ron Martin as May 31st 2009. On that date Martin will step down from his position on the board of directors, with executive chairman Dale Johnson assuming responsibility for the CEO portfolio until a replacement is found.

Johnson commented “On behalf of the Board and management team, I would like to thank Ron for his significant contribution to the Group over four challenging years. In the current challenging market conditions, the Board and management team are focused on maximising revenues in the short term, maintaining control over costs and preserving cash to deliver value for all shareholders.”

Public opinion go at a propitious time
With Congressman Frank’s new HR 2267 bid to legalise and regulate online gambling in the United States now launched and active, the Poker Players Alliance reminded players this week that their voices have been heard by the Obama administration.
The reminder refers to a project instituted by then presidential candidate Obama in which a website was made available so that Americans could flag and vote on issues they felt were important that the incoming president address (see previous InfoPowa reports).
This information was then transformed into a presidential brief titled White House Citizen’s Briefing Book.
This week the PPA, which boasts over a million members nationwide, applauded the release of the publication, noting that the compilation of voter-led policy proposals includes as one of its top items the licensing and regulation of online poker.
“Poker players around the country are speaking with one voice to protect the game they love, and the White House is hearing that message,” said PPA Executive Director John Pappas. “The popularity of online poker continues to grow, and the fact that poker is the top technology issue – and the 11th issue overall – proves that this is not a niche issue, but a national public policy that this Congress and this president should advance this year.”
The number one technology item in the White House Citizen’s Briefing Book was “Boost America’s Economy with Legal Online Poker,” which received 46 890 points.
Crafted by online poker player Aaron Huertas of Washington, D.C., the submission reads as follows:
“Boost America’s Economy with Legal Online Poker, 46890 points
“Let online poker players in the United States play legally and without fear of prosecution. Reform the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act to exempt poker, a game of skill, from the law.
“Boost the economy by letting American companies and American players make money and pay taxes instead of sending online poker businesses offshore.
“Protect online poker players by regulating the industry to ensure that no one is ever cheated.”
Pappas observed: “We hope the Administration hears and acts upon the clear message sent via the Citizen’s Briefing Book – keep online poker legal through thoughtful regulation. The poker community stands ready to work with President Obama and Congress to make sure the will of the people is acted upon.
“There is a very vocal community out there…through our website last year, over 80 000 letters were sent to Congress in support of licensing and regulating internet poker,” he said, adding that in the first quarter of 2009 the organisation spent $430 000 on lobbying, up $80 000 from the same period in 2008.

Bad End for Fraudster
In a stroke of bad luck, a 29-year-old California man made a simple mistake of visiting the MGM Grand Casino this week and caught cheating by the video cameras. Last September, he had faked his own death in a Laguna Beach diving accident in an effort to escape the long arms of the law. He had been originally scheduled for sentencing for a string of offences in Orange County for burglary, theft, forgery and drug charges. He has a pending arrest warrant for illegal drugs in neighboring Los Angeles County.
If not for his simple cheating mistake, he would have convinced all those looking for him that he was already dead. The Nevada Gaming Board officers eventually found out his previous criminal records and he will soon be extradited to Orange County to face the additional charges of gambling fraud and faking a medical emergency. He may also face an unexpected new charge of insurance charge by collecting on his policy. When people say there is no such thing as a perfect crime, they will cite this as an example.
